M.S. Student | Parks, Recreation & Tourism Management

Dave was raised in the heart of the Chattahoochee National Forest in Blairsville, GA. After receiving his Bachelor degree from Georgia Southern University, he spent the next several years working for the National Outdoor Leadership School in Palmer, Alaska. He spent his time as an outdoor educator working as a backpacking, sea kayaking, and glacier mountaineering instructor alongside other seasonal work in outdoor recreation, wilderness therapy and natural resource management. Dave and his wife Meagan are excited to be in Athens! He is now the full time Coordinator for Outdoor Recreation with the University of Georgia's Recreational Sports department.
